Vista Windows Mail

“Windows Mail” setup on Windows Vista

1. Open Windows Mail and click “Tools” > “Accounts”.

2. Click the “Add” button.

3. Make sure “E-mail Account” is highlighted and click “Next.”

4. Type your name as you would like it to appear to your email recipients.

5. Type your full email address.

6. Choose “POP3,” type your email server in each of the server name boxes (mail.your_domain.com), make sure “Outgoing server requires authentication” is checked, and click “Next.”

7. Type your full email address as the username. By default this field takes the “@your_domain.com” portion off. Make sure to re-enter it. Type your password and click “Next.”

8. Make sure the “Do not download…” box is checked and click “Finish.”

9. Back in the “Internet Accounts” window, highlight your newly created account and click the “Properties” button.

10. Click on the Advanced Tab.

11. Type the number “2525″ into the “Outgoing mail” box and click “OK.”
